November 2014: I'm an Asset Management consultant with almost 40 years of for-profit, nonprofit and government experience in the real estate finance and development arenas. I specialize in low- and moderate-income multifamily housing: its creation, financing, acquisition/sale and operation. My direct experience includes managing the for-profit creation of thousands of housing units and several commercial and industrial projects, leading three nonprofit housing providers that developed and managed hundreds of units, and participating in the financing and refinancing of over 150,000 housing units throughout the U.S.

I've traveled extensively, including all 50 states, all seven continents and over 150 places on the Travelers' Century Club list, of which I am a member. I also spent a year in Kazakhstan spearheading the privatization of government-owned housing, and lived in the San Francisco Bay and Washington, D.C., areas. I hold both a B.A. and M.A. from UCLA, with my Masters in Architecture and Urban Planning. I've held a California Real Estate Broker’s license since 1980, and served as a planning commissioner and on the boards of community associations and nonprofit housing providers. I live in Los Angeles with Karen, my wife of almost 30 years.
