I attended the University of Oregon, married and lived in Santa Monica, WLA, Long Beach and Arizona up until 1990. Worked in Saudi Arabia in Asset & Property Mgmt with the Saudi Bin Laden Construction Company in Jeddah. (Yes, the same Bin Ladens, just not Osama. I think he was hiding in the Sudan at the time.)

I met my current wife, Susan, who was working as a GP at the National Guard Hospital just outside of Mecca. Our marriage is going on eleven years now. We moved to Australia in 1994, lived in Sydney for two years in Bondi Junction and Queens Park in the Eastern Suburbs and the last eight years in Cairns. I became an Australia citizen six years ago, but still keep my American citizenship. I have two children (Brett, 26, & Ashley, 24) from my previous marriage. Both live in NYC.

Up until 9/11 I had my own sales and marketing company representing technology book publishing companies in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Now I'm semi-retired, helping run Sue's medical practice just south of Cairns in White Rock (not related to the sparkling beverage).
