STILL SINGLE AND STILL SURFIN'!
Retired in '06 from 30+ years as a Science teacher, mostly at Crenshaw
High in South-Central L.A., where I found classmate Doug Pozzo…yes, we
DO have a few stories!
Unbelievably, I'm still into the same stuff I loved when I was 16:
surfing, fishing, old cars, and photography. Three of these led me to
40 years of travel in Mexico, and resulted in a neat little casita in
Baja where I spend 4-5 months a year. The rest of the time is in Santa
Monica (about 2 blocks from Walt Zambas & Patti Pessin), where I
recover from/prepare for the Baja trips and mess with my two classic
wagons (one of which is usually at the alumni picnic).
I had a great time at the 40th reunion, and would be glad to hear from
anyone who remembers how cool it was to grow up on the westside in the
'60s.
2012 update:
Left a lifetime of renting in Santa Monica and bought a really nice house in San Clemente last year.
Sold the '59 DeSoto; rarely make it to the picnic in the Mercury woodie any more.
