After graduating from Uni I enlisted in the Navy and spent two tours of
duty in Vietnam before returning in 1969. I then joined the Los Angeles
Police Department and spent the next 12 years in South Central Los
Angeles as a training officer. Injuries caused an early retirement so I
went back to school and completed a Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate
degree. This year I complete my 25th year of teaching in community
colleges. I am a Criminologist, Law Professor and author of numerous
texts on criminal and evidentiary law. My wife and I are both pilots
and own two planes. This hobby and my wood shop fill all of my spare
time. What I best remember about my time at Uni was being a T-Timer and
cruising the A&W with Scott Smith, Candy Optican and Joan Fields. Boy
were those the "good-old-days".
